Exile's home is Ambouli (ICAO: HDAM), a large joint civilian-military airport located near Djibouti City, Djibouti. It has an east-west oriented runway of 3150 metres length, with ILS equipment for runway 27. All our aircraft are based at this airport. Besides Exile, several other airlines (including Emirates, Air France and British Airways) have flights arriving here.

Flying in Africa
Flying in Africa is a challenging and very demanding experience. The continent is a largely non-radar environment, so expect procedural approaches and monitor the TCAS. Rain, dust, sandstorms may reduce visibility, so you should know the terrain well and execute the procedures accordingly. Be prepared for untrained controllers and pilots, unreliable navaids, poor runway surfaces, high temperatures, civil wars, dragons, giraffes, marabous, and everything that can make your flight more dangerous than it should be.

Be advised that RVSM was introduced over the entire African continent; please select your flight level accordingly.
